I recently came across The Frail through a Kid Heroes production titled “The Traffic Gods” (video embedded below), in which the song “Count On This” is played during the credits. Emerging from San Francisco, the indie-eleco pop duo released their 4 track EP “Count On This” three years ago. The warm synths bring that good chill vibe, almost perfect for city driving on a nice day music. Most recently they’ve released “Firefly,” a 6 track EP to really express their sound, check them out.

Menomena - Five Little Rooms (DL at their website)
For those of you unfamiliar with Menomena, I strongly encourage you to take a listen to Friend and Foe, the album that got me hooked on their indie pop rock style. To many people, their music may seem a bid weird and unstructured, but in my opinion that’s what makes them so original.
And just as my first encounter with Friend and Foe was a little odd, I get the same feeling with their latest leak from their upcoming album, Mines. “Five Little Rooms” gives off that eerie, spooky feeling with dissonances and blasting horns, but as I listen I find myself bopping my head and really respecting their different style.
